Hi!  Welcome to the home of Silver Essence Jewelry.  I am Emily King the artist behind this jewelry line.  I started creating my own jewelry in 2002.  In the beginning, I thrived on the creative energy from beading and putting beautiful colors together.  I would frequently get compliments on my jewelry and suggestions were made for me to sell my jewelry.  In January of 2006 I took the plunge and started Silver Essence Jewelry.  It has been really great watching people get excited about my jewelry and meeting many wonderful people at festivals and fairs.

I started beading and that quickly led to wirework with sterling silver.  I enjoy sketching out designs and then bending metal to create the image that is in my mind.  This will always be an aspect of my jewelry.  I have found a new love to add to my jewelry, PMC (precious metal clay). This product is silver particles, organic binder and water.  Once I create a piece, the binder and water evaporate off during firing which leaves the silver to form the fine silver piece.  I am able to make anything I can imagine.  It is an exciting medium.  I have started blending fine silver pieces with sterling wire in some of my pieces which has received a great response from my customers.

I have been living in western Massachusetts since 2002 and I love the community and culture of the area.  For my "real" job, I am the Program Director at an all-girls resident camp.  This is definitely my other passion.  I love watching girls come to camp and learn, explore and challenge themselves in a supportive environment.  Maybe someday I will be able to leave this passion and follow my dream of dedicating myself to Silver Essence Jewelry full time.
